British apparel retailer Marks & Spencer to leave Russia

MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- British apparel retailer Marks & Spencer has decided to leave the Russian market, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The business has encountered border problems between Russia and the E.U. and the stop of supplies to the company’s franchising partner in Russia, so Marks & Spencer has decided to leave its Russian franchisee with a loss of 31 million British pounds, the company said.
